African Americans for MacCain

Today I was introduced to the National Black Republican Association. I was very surprised and pleased. I knew that the Republican Party was the party of Abraham Lincoln and the driving force behind the Civil Rights Movement. Yet the African American Community as a whole appears to be in the dark about the facts relating to the Democrat Party.

I was pleased to learn that Martin Luther King was a Republican and so were the early abolitionists. I don't understand what has happened. Why is the Democrat Party viewed as the party for African Americans when it was the Democrats that were fighting Dr King and the other protesters during the Civil Rights movement. All throughout our history the Democrats have been keeping the African Americans down. It was the Democrats who founded the Ku Klux Klan. It was the Democrats that shut down Civil Rights legislation time and time again.

I'm not saying this, the NBRA is. Here is a Black Republican History Test take it and see how much you know about the Republican Party.

According to the Boston Globe " At a dilapidated Chicago housing project, some see problems with Obama's favored housing policy. The squat brick buildings of Grove Parc Plaza, in a dense neighborhood that Barack Obama represented for eight years as a state senator, hold 504 apartments subsidized by the federal government for people who can't afford to live anywhere else.

But it's not safe to live here.

About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition. Obama's Connection to Terrorist Bill Ayers

According to Stanley Kurtz "evidence strongly suggests that Barack Obama has been less than forthcoming about the role that unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers may have played in choosing him to lead the Chicago Annenberg Challenge". Kurtz also says that "Through a Freedom of Information Act request, former CAC executive director, Ken Rolling, to Warren Chapman and Anne Hallett, two of CAC’s three co-founders; Ayers being the third, he admits to avoiding a reporter’s inquiries about who picked Obama to head CAC"
